Bluetooth can be defined as a form of wireless communications, which allows devices to send and receive communications. It is a global initiative to set up manufacturers such as IBM, Intel, Ericsson, Nokia and Toshiba to create a standard for connecting devices such as cell phones, laptop computers, Handhelds and other devices. Based on the Bluetooth short-range radio technology allows for wireless connectivity. The main features of Bluetooth are robust, low-power and low cost. Both data and voice transmissions can be handled at the same time. Examples of innovative solutions that the users will be able to make printing and faxing, synchronization with PDA or laptop and make or receive phone calls, mobile phone, with many more applications available.
